Everyone already knows that the government in Australia introduced its nationwide contact tracing app called CovidSAFE. Needless to say, the app is full of holes and does not provide businesses with any assurance that contact tracing through the CovidSAFE app will allow them to remain open.
Anyone who cares about their privacy should be dead against downloading apps onto the mobile phone. We have an entire list of things that are wrong about having people download mobile apps for contact tracing in Australia.
Australia’s CovidSAFE app is full of issues, as is widely known.
Minister Robert says the app is completely safe. Yeah Right!!!
Can you imagine walking up to the local Cafe and the app beeping to say something like “Covid19 12 o’clock…guy has Covid” – what kind of a society is that going to create?
Firstly, downloading the App is not mandatory, and as a result, many people won’t even bother to download the app.
Secondly, if a person visits your business, and later turns out to be Covid-19 positive, and if you didn’t keep a record of all your customer interactions, will they let you remain open or quarantine the entire business?
They could quarantine the business on the premise that they don’t know who else came to your business with accuracy, so to limit the risk of community transmission, they are likely to take the approach of shutting down your business.
CovidTracing is a non-invasive contact tracing solution that does not require you or your customers to download any mobile apps.
If you are using CovidTracing for your business, if and when, the above scenario emerges, you will have the ability to demonstrate that you have captured contact information for all customers that visited your business.
The authorities can then make a simple request from us under the Privacy Act, and we will release structured data to the relevant agencies to assist with the real work of contact tracing.
NOTE: Data for our Australian customers are held on servers in Australia and are subject to Australian Privacy Laws.

Once you see the 4 Digit verification code on your screen, you can walk inside, go up to the staff at checkout and show them the code.
They will then enter that code into the verification system provided by CovidTracing at the Point of Sale.
Once staff enters the verification code on the screen and confirm your code, you will see a “Verification Complete” message on the screen.
After that, simply tap on the “EXIT” button when you’re leaving the store. That’s all.
There’s a common misconception that any form of contact tracing is invasive. CovidTracing isn’t. Here’s why:
What’s the point of a contact tracing solution being implemented at a business, if there are no well-defined, privacy-centric procedures for sharing data with Government Agencies in the event of another outbreak.
What’s the plan? Send data using spreadsheets? or scan and upload pages from your guestbook? Most people haven’t thought about this. We have.

This means that your customers have a choice. They can either check-in to your business using the invasive mobile app or use our non-invasive system to register securely without the need to use any apps or additional software.
On the 4th of June, 2020, Director General of Health, Dr. Ashley Bloomfield confirmed that contact tracing will continue to remain a “REQUIREMENT” for businesses.
Just like it has been during Level 2, non-compliance can lead to enforcement if the business is not actively conducting contact tracing.
The New Zealand Government’s NZ COVID TRACER app is proving to be unpopular with daily registrations dropping consistently to just a few thousand a day.
Give your customers a choice. Use our contact less, app-less contact tracing solution and make it easier for your customers as well as your own business.
